CELTIC FROST Reschedules Mexican Dates
August 12, 2007Seminal avant-garde metal pioneers CELTIC FROST have announced that their previously cancelled tour dates in Mexico have now been rescheduled. The new dates are as follows:
Oct. 12 - Mexico City, Mexico @ Circo Volador
Oct. 13 - Monterrey, Mexico @ Cafe Iguana
CELTIC FROST was forced to postpone its Mexican shows after the group's drummer, Franco Sesa, was diagnosed with an acute otitis media (an inflammation of the middle ear) which has affected the inner ear and severely impairs his sense of balance, among other serious symptoms. The inflammation first became evident when the band traveled to Finland to perform its most recent show. Franco's condition deteriorated rapidly during the flight, and he subsequently checked himself into Oulu's hospital. Upon Franco's return to Zurich, he immediately reported for medical treatment.
A video interview with a slightly agitated CELTIC FROST mainman Tom Gabriel Fischer which originally appeared on the "Xtreme Soundscapes Vol. VI" DVD (web site) has been posted on YouTube.
CELTIC FROST's video for "A Dying God Coming into Human Flesh", a song taken from their first album in 13 years, "Monotheist", can be viewed below. The fascinatingly gloomy clip was filmed in mid-August 2006 by up-and-coming Swiss director Jessie Fischer (no relation to singer/guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer) in Zürich, Switzerland.
